Stuff I Don’t Know
So far, I’ve spent about 72 years trying to figure things out so that I can define what I know. Here it is. The more I know, the more I know that I don’t know.
I am a reader, a listener, and a watcher. I should be more of a doer, but before I DO, I’d rather give it some study so I don’t do it wrong. My opinions are fluid because I realize there is information I haven’t seen yet which might redirect or better define them.
Sometimes what I write are thoughts or opinions I have taken to be fact, and sometimes I am simply airing a question to be explored. But my mind isn’t closed to better logic or proof. That is the value of debate.
However, anyone who attempts to change my mind by using modifiers like “ridiculous, ignorant, silly, paranoid” or endeavors to discredit an idea by calling it a “conspiracy theory” has already been disqualified as a credible debater. He has revealed his hand. His motive is not to share in uncovering greater ideas but to squelch those that differ from his own agenda.
Man has conspired since he first could form thoughts and desires. Because conspiracies must be kept secret until they can be accomplished, they naturally engender broad speculation (theories). Once proven or disproven “theory” can be discarded for fact-based truth. So, “conspiracy theory” is neither negative nor positive. It is something to be explored, not ignored. If it’s truly “ridiculous” it should be easy to disprove. But if it is countered by burying it under piles of subterfuge, that becomes fuel for the fire.
In conclusion, the stuff I don’t know is too vast to list. I’m not dead yet. I’m still learning and discovering. Faith, on the other hand….
